Hi
I had problems with my burglar alarm a few days ago, i ended up taking fuse out so it had no power, i thought nothing more about it until today, the outside alarm box, is making and alarm sound about half as loud as normal but has not stopped in about 2 hours,
i have been told over the phone that the alarm should stop within around 5 hours,
does anyone know if this is correct or could it keep going
thanks

Depends on how big the battery is and what condition it's in.
5hrs is a guess I'm afraid.Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0 -
It depends on the make / model of the alarm, but I know some alarms have a battery backup that kicks in in the event of a power cut ( which is effectively what's happened since you've removed the fuse ). It could be a warning that the battery is running low.
If you Google for the make/model you'll more than likely find an instruction manual online which should tell you for definite what the problem is.0 -
