Redundancy - length of service date

Hi!
I'm being made redundant (actually good news - I was already looking for something new and have some money stashed so I can survive)
My question is about which date is used to calculate your length of service for statutory redundancy payments - I am about to hit my 6 year anniversary with my employer. Is the length of service calculated based on the date you officially enter the redundancy process, or the date of your last day?
Thanks!

...or a third option, the last day of your notice period? It's likely I'll work part of my notice and be paid for the rest.0

Last time it happened to me I was made redundant at the end of April but my notice period was 3 months. Since my anniversary was the middle of June I got an extra year. I got PILON so didn't actually work my notice.
This was an enhanced company package however, so the rules for statutory might be different.0 -
It is based on termination date or if PILON a date based on statutory notice if that would be later date.
All explained in the employment act for exact details.
The key out is statutory notice not contractual an date of notice.0
