I have only just started using SBTV on Chrome on a laptop. Can anyone share some tips on how to get the most out of it, or is there a guide somewhere?
I can see I have a choice of streams (GQ, AOL, etc) but I cannot see anything that says how long they take to run.
I have noticed the SB meter moves after about 30 secs but some of the videos last over 30 minutes so I have to manually skip to the next video.
I have no idea what a bonus round is, or how I would even know if I was getting one.
Seeing what other people are making from SBTV it looks like there's quite a bit I don't know.
Thanks in advance.
Do you mean in the app at the top of the page (swagbutton app)?
Or the actual watch pages?
For the swagbutton app, you can have it running while on another site altogether. To get it to pop up on its own, start it then click a different screen and it will jump in front and can be dragged and resized. I find its best to let the video run till the meter adds and then click the next video else they can be quite long between videos . Start on a channel and if you find you are getting the 'you already watched it ' message , switch channels. It can even be the only browser window open which is handy if you play games or read on your desktop offline.0 -

Thanks for replying, and yes I meant the swagbutton videos. I got confused by reading people writing about the smart phone app and wondering why I could not access what they had (duh!).
And thanks for the tips about using the swagbutton videos.0 -
Thanks for replying. Unfortunately I don't have a smart phone but it's good to know what everyone else is referring to.
I bought a new, cheap, basic smart phone on Ebay two years ago, a ZTE something or other, for about £20. It has more than paid for itself. If I've run 5 of the 6 Apps, 7 days a week, for 48 weeks a year, this equates to approx. £100 a year in Paypal, or more in GCs.
Plus it helps me reach first target most days, so additional bonuses received at month end. In the main, the Apps run by themselves. Occasionally SBs mess about with adverts that need to be clicked on. If this is too time consuming, I just don't bother for a few days.
It is also handy to have an alternative phone number to use for any easy mobile offers that kind people post on here. You can leave the phone on silent, and never answer any calls. I switch it off once Apps have run, so minimal cost for charging battery.0 -
Restarting the router works (when it does) because most people these days are on a dynamic rather than a static IP address; and nCrave is being blocked on the basis of certain IP addresses. Restarting the router is likely to get you allocated a new IP address; however, it will probably still be in the same range of addresses (one of those allocated to your ISP) so it may still be one which is being blocked.
So it's worth a try, but not guaranteed to succeed. If those who are having trouble in this respect were to post which ISP (connectivity provider) they are using, we might be able to figure out whose IP addresses are disliked. For example, I'm with Plusnet, and I am not seeing this problem.
I too am with Plusnet, had the problem for about 4/5 days after a router reboot (was moving the router). Unsure what IP block I was in prior to that, but while I had the problem the IP was 209. 93.56.xx, rebooting gave an IP in the same block . Oddly I also tried from another isp at my daughter's house, that too gave the problem.
At around midnight-ish last night my connection failed (there was some sort of planned maintenance on the BT network) I believe it was down for a prolonged period and this morning my IP is in the 146.198.xx.xx range and the Ncrave problem has gone.
As an aside, not sure about a fibre connection, but an adsl connection that is frequently re-booted 'may' have the speed reduced. The system sees rebooting as a dropped connection. If it happens frequently it will reduce the connection speed to what it thinks is a stable rate. In time, it will re-train but in the meantime connection speed may be reduced.0 -
Just to warn others, there is a survey about breakdown cover on Peanut labs that screens out after you complete it.0

I had an old account with PP but used different details this time and it didn't go through.
When I tried it said postage was £4.00 so I didn't bother with it.0 -
I just started doing Swagbucks again after a break of 2 years. I found it hard to get to grips with at first, possibly because I am now doing it on an iPad.
One thing I don't understand is how do I check the Discover box on the to do list, some, days I can get it but not others.
I also find SBs from searches harder to get than previously and also from games.
Any advice will be appreciated.
Many thanks, Jane0 -

Thanks, maybe this could be the excuse I've been waiting for to buy a smart phone.
But presumably there is a data usage cost. Do you have any idea what that comes to, or do you have a package which includes data on a "use it or lose it" deal, so it doesn't really cost you anything to use it for SBTV.0 -

Can you not run it with free wifi, in the home, or in the office?0 -

I have a small included data allowance, so only run the Apps at home, where I have unlimited wifi via my broadband provider. You can turn mobile data off, so no risk of running up a bill by phone switching away from wifi.0
