experian issues DRO
Options
Hi everyone
I have under 20k debt so after taking advice I am thinking of ending my joint DMP and going for a DRO.
No income/assets/home
I obtained my experian report and there are a few issues.
It shows 2 credit cards as being OK and 1 payment late. Both of these cards were at a time being paid by my dad (he gave me cash to pay them) BUT most of the time the payments were late or missed, but experian does not reflect this? These are not part of the DMP as I stupidly thought I could handle them - though I will get them put on DMP.
It shows a payday loan as "OK" and closed, yet this loan is still being repaid at £1 per month with over £300 to go!! The debt was sold to MMF, although the original debtor Peachy are willing to accept a f&f of £100.
It shows a loan as "OK" but this loan is in default and is part of my DMP, has been for over 2 years, yet the payments are not shown as this? The min payment is £15 but I am paying £5?
One credit card showing as "1 late payment/missed payment" but this card is again part of DMP and always has been so should be defaulted.
I'm worried that with all this the DRO will be rejected! All other debts are in default and part of DMP which is fine.

You have little to worry about on the scenario you have described. The only issue you may face is one of preference payments to some and not others. Third party payments are fine, and looks like you have been making tokens on others, which is effectively the same as your DMP, so if I were your intermediary I would be fine with that, and I doubt the DRO Unit will raise too much of an eyebrow either.0
