I'm sure this is a common issue with a lot of players but i recently bought a Sony BDP-S1500 bluray player.

Its a great value for money box and performs well but the only thing that lets it down is the poor provision for text input when using apps.
The iplayer app isnt so bad as a software keyboard appears when you want input but the 5 on demand app seems pretty poor. It doesnt call up any kind of usable text input.
The supplied remote doesnt have alphanumeric keys and the player doesnt seem to accept a USB keyboard.
What am i supposed to do? shout at it?
Sony do an iphone app for remote control of equipment called sideways but it doesnt work on this machine despite several ads for the machine saying it does.
Why oh why dont ITV also provide an app?

Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..
