MP4 files Cover Art

Is there a way to add movie covers to my mp4 files. I currently connect my hard drive to my Samsung smart tv to watch films and it would be excellent to see the films cover art.

I've been using a piece of software called MetaX for some years now without a hitch. http://www.danhinsley.com

I mostly use it for tagging TV shows I've converted from DVD so it may be overkill for movie covers if there's something else out there that does the same job but I've never had the need to go looking for other software.

Its funny u should mention that program because I actually tried the trial of it last night and the cover art displayed okay on my pc but still nothing on the tv where I actually want it.

If you've got a windows, mac or linux based computer then you could install the plex server software that will manage your movie collection with metadata including coverart.

You can connect to it using the Plex client app that you can get from the samsung apps on your smart tv

Just put the Cover art in the same folder with the movie.

Try the Mp3tag metadata editor:

"http://www.mp3tag.de/en/index.html"


(despite its name, it will edit the tags of MP4 files)
