Adobe Acrobat Full Version

Options
Am thinking of getting Adobe Acrobat full version for my work, but as well as creating pdfs and all the other functions it has, I need to print to .tif file as well

Can any one advise if Adobe Acrobat can convert to .tif as well as .pdf

thanks

    Does this help?

    Google's a wonderful thing.

thanks, you are quite right, google is a wonderful thing, but so is ensuring that your answers are reasonably helpful before the sarcasm kicks in.

I DID google before asking and I found the page you refer to all on my onesome and it doesn't fully answer, despite what the casual reader of the title alone may assume.

The instructions on this link tell you to do the conversion in adobe photoshop.

What I want to know is:

Can Adobe Acrobat do the printing to .tif directly

Why don't you just use a simple screen (image) capture utility for free if this is mostly what you need the software for?
Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????

For .PDFs I use CutePDF which can also produce high quality files if you choose in the settings. PDFcreator is also excellent. For .tif I use the simple FastStone capture utility but no sure of how close or far this is from the quality you are wanting.

    Again, thanks

I already have a free pdf writer, but need the tif function. I was hoping to get a combined package, but need to go with reputable software or the IT guys in my office won't approve it

PDFCreator is free and does both PDF and TIFF (plus jpeg and lots more).
I use it for exporting pictures from CAD into technical documentation.

That's the one at http://www.pdfforge.org/ not the one that google turns up :-)

Acrobat 7 can save in many different formats, including .tif, and I'd expect the latest version, Acrobat 8, to also support this.

If you look at the Google link directly under the link to your post on this site, it would appear no. This implies you need a driver (in both Acrobat and Acrobat reader) rather as you do to convert from MS word to pdf.

    No sarcasm intended !
