I would take the initiative here - lets say the estimated 'life' of a cam chain is 100k (though really it should never need doing IIRC). which would be 8-10 years of average driving.
So whichever is more favourable to you : (ie lower mileage or years)
ie -
3 years = 70% contribution
25k = £75% contribution
Dont forget the dealer may want to apply this just to parts cost -and I would doubt the garage will agree to that high percentage but start high and take it from there - as long as you can show some method to your calculation it makes it harder for them to refute.Praying at the church of MSE should be compulsory!

Well the car's only done 43k and prob only 20k of that in the last three years...
