Congratulations - I didn't feel different yesterday after going to court, but I slept well for almost the first time in months and today felt much better about things, so maybe it just takes a while to sink in?

Full english breakfast? Baguettes? tasteless or not, that's more than you get at Shrewsbury county court (measly coffee machine!)
  • Have fun in France.

Just a thought. I am going away for a week to IOW end of next week, (freebie hol with relatives) and I had to tell the OR that I would be away in case they phoned. I strongly suggest you do the same. Do stress that the break is not a "proper" paid for holiday though as at first my OR lady went into apoplexy when I explained I was taking a break - till I put her right and then she said, "Oh thats fine"

I plan on telling them when they call me, I just hope they call soon as I need to ask them about my bank account... Luckily Mum keeps me in food and stuff when I go over and all I had to pay for was the fare of £79 return and I paid that when I was made redundant, Dad will give me some Euros to take so I should be sorted. :)

Thought I'd give a quick update! I spoke to the OR today briefly, he was meant to call me to arrange an appointment for when I get back from Mum's but he forgot... doh! Anyway he said I can keep my Nationwide account which is a result, so that's one thing to stop stressing about...

Also he sounds quite nice, would it be wrong to ask your OR out on a date??? Haha! :)

It would be with mine, .... the wife would kill me :rotfl: :rotfl:
  • Miss..well done (though i'm shocked about your suggestion of a date with the enemy lol...mine sounded cute as well)
Glad it all went well for you.
The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter :(

Hope that's not the end of the BCSC. :undecided

    Hi MissMuppet,

Thanks for the prompt Rog, I think Mike's got a lot going on at the moment and I don't want to bother him with asking how far we'd got with numbers.

I'll use my initiative (as his No.2) and start at 200 because I don't think we'd got that far.

So you're BCSC No. 200 MissM.

Any other requests for numbers will of course be dealt with in the usual arbitrary and haphazard fashion, but I'll do my best.:o :D
  • Great Rich.. i asked for a number months ago so how about just making mine 666?

    Hi bltn,

    You little Devil,

Don't see anything wrong with that; I'll log it accordingly. Mike was kind enough to grant my O.H the No.69 so she wouldn't forget it; same numbers as our old banger of a van.

I'll see if I can find the old register and see who's still around; maybe do a "Friends Reunited" thing.

    Rich
