One income household

Hi,
I'm currently sat at home with my beautiful 3 day old daughter sat next to me.
I've had a very busy 12 months, saved and bought a house and moved my partner into our new home. All is looking good so far, however one of many concerns that I have is money.
Household income is about £2100 per month, however I want to budget based on my income and the child befit payments only as my partners maternity pay will eventually stop. So that leaves me with £1850 take home pay (including chb).
I have been unable to past my soa on this phone however out outgoings are 1300. This includes all home/transport/fixed costs such as gym and mobile. We will obviously work on reducing this, however at the moment this is fixed.
So that leaves us with 550. This doesn't seem too bad, however I want to save money for a larger car etc.
We already do our shopping at lidl and aldi.
Fortunately my partner is breastfeeding but we will have to make sure we are careful.
Can anyone else suggest any tips with regards to looking after a family on one income with a similar budget. I can see myself getting into debt if I don't actively keep on top of things.
Maybe moral support ks what I am after.

I don't think that any advice can be given except 'spend less', but for this the SOA is needed.
After many years of shopping in Aldi now I don't take it for granted after realising that some items are much cheaper in Tesco or even Sainsbury's with their discount coupons that they keep sending me.
Car insurance. Shop around every year taking TCB/Quidco into account instead of routinely reviewing the policy with the same provider.
Register with your local freecycle.org. You'll be amazed with what people are giving away for free. I regret not having it around after buying my house years ago.0 -

You should be able to claim child tax credit eventually once the maternity pay stops.0
