I went for medical on 15 March for ESA and wondered if anybody knows what time scale a decision is made?

It varies widely by area. Anything from a week to 4 months.

I would wait another week or so and then call ESA if you've heard nothing. As you've had the assessment the paperwork might still be sitting on a desk at the assessment centre or ESA. A call might get them to look at it.
