This is the back of the dental form that you would have to fill in if you claim free dental treatment.
To answer your question NO you cant claim free dental treatment if you are unemployed and don't claim benefits.
But you can claim under the low income scheme or if you get certain tax credits, also any unemployment benefits like JSA or ESA have to be income based and not contribution based.
This link should give you the info you need.

Was going to give the same answer. You will need to be claiming some benefit to qualify.
However, there are still some free dental services staffed mostly with( I am told) final year dentist students, supervised of course.
These free dental practices really can make a difference and if anyone has no financial means and is not claiming benefits, even low waged, its something to bear in mind. Some have a screening service, but they do offer scaling, polishing, fillings, crowns, bridges or veneers.
There are a few free dental practices ran alongside dental universities. Best search for your area to see if its possible.
Having paid almost £300 for a crown, and having been fined by the dental authority for declaring I was unemployed, I'd also caution people thinking of telling fibs re employment status. Usually dentists ask for proof of benefits.0 -

you DONT need to be claiming benefit to qualify for free dental.
those on a low income can apply, via an HC1 for help with NHS charges0 -
I would add it depends on your household income and your other means. Without being rude, you are not living on fresh air so that would need assessing.0
