Reducing Sky bill if I'm leaving in 6 months??

Hi
Im moving into a new flat in 6 months. The new place is only wired for Virgin and doesn't allow dishes on the building anyway. So, despite leaving Sky in 6 months could I haggle my monthly price down if I rang them tomorrow or would changes to what I pay automatically mean I enter into a deal 12 month contract??
Any help would be very grateful.
Thanks

Any deal you negotiate with Sky will probably be on condition of a new 12 month minimum term, so if you plan to cancel in 6 months the early term charges may well cancel out any savings,0

Just cancel now (31 days notice) and save some cash

I thought Sky was the only provider that didn't impose a new 12m min term after a home move?No free lunch, and no free laptop

When I negotiated my 60% reduction towards the end of last year they tried to insist on a contract but I refused and they agreed to honour the discount without imposing a minimum term. I had actually cancelled at that point and started a web chat 5 days into my 31 day notice period. If you don't try you won't get!0
