Can't work out if new job pays - help?

I assume the income would be just pro-rata at 30 hours (21000 full time at 28 hours = 16800), but if I did take on the extra 2 hours I'd take them as home working (I'll be doing a couple a week from home anyway) so no further childcare/bus costs.0

If you start work speak to your Housing Benefit Department to see if you qualify for the 4 week run on.

Presumably the drop in tax credits for the year 2017-18 takes into account the fact that your youngest will be of school age, therefore childcare element of tax credits is removed. Good luck either way, I'm sure that it will pay in the long term.0

No it's because of the disregard for income increases (£2,500 from April 2016) from one year to the next.
Children of school age can still require childcare eg breakfast clubs, after school club, out of school club etc.0 -
Thanks everyone, I really appreciate the help given. I'll look into that housing benefit run on as well.
Will crack on with paying down my debts before next tax year to give me an extra cushion against any drop... onward and upward
