Sky Remote for Smart TV

I have bought a new Samsung smart TV and have a previous Sky box and remote.
Can I use just one remote, either the Sky one or the Samsung one, to operate the TV including both the Sky features and also the smart features specific to the TV?
Or do I need to keep using both for their respective functions?
Thank you

You can programme the Sky remote to control your TV (as above), and the volume keys, for example, will change the volume on your TV. If you press 'TV' and 'Sky' at the top of the remote, the remote will talk to either of these devices. But there are only so many buttons, so if your TV's remote has a 'Netflix' or 'Home' button, that won't be on the Sky remote, so you'll still need two.0

Yeah, neither remote will replicate all functions. The Sky remote will certainly operate the TV's sound volume, though.0
