  • Metro Bank's business account is free if you keep £2000 in there. Cater Allen also have a free one through Contractors UK.

    in your circumstances i would use a 'Personal' account for business purposes, but always ensure that you keep it separate to a Personal account for Personal use.

    How would that help, when most banks T&Cs state that a 'Personal' account must not be used for business purposes:cool:

    Perhaps I'm misunderstanding planteria's point but I assumed it was basically reiterating my earlier one, i.e. if you're going to (ab)use a personal account for business purposes then make sure you have access to a different one as well (with a separate institution) in case the bank decides you're in breach of Ts & Cs, so you can continue to put food on the table....
