Tiles fitted incorrectly

We bought a chalet/workshop 9 months ago and paid for it to be fitted by the same company.
We chose the felt tile/shingle style of roofing as it was presented to us as a better quality option.
In the first strong wind, the tiles have ripped off.
On inspection, they were only fitted with a couple of nails each (not the 4 nails you see on YouTube demos).
I feel ripped off. My little old B&Q cheapy shed with its felt roll roof has withstood years of weathering and wind.
The shed company doesn't want to know. Is there anything I can do, other than Small Claims?

You 'd need to prove they were incorrectly fitted ( not enough fasteners etc) First place would be tile manufactures literature does it specify number of fixings etc. If not then cost make it not be worth preceding? Getting an expert witness legal court route likely cost more than having tiles replaced yourself,We bought a chalet/workshop 9 months ago and paid for it to be fitted by the same company.

Some might use “roofing expert” and there report to send a solicitors letter across to other party (A bluff ) hoping company considers defending legal action may cost them more, loss of reputation etc than sending someone out to re do tiles? If they have fitted many with the same method and no complaints and manufacture doesn't specify then likely they’ll tell you to jog on...0 -
Would this not come under " not fit for purpose"?0

More like 'not using sufficient care and skill,' as the tiles are a recognised way of roofing sheds, but the method of affixing them was poor.Would this not come under " not fit for purpose"?
Write a letter to the MD of the company first, giving them a chance to rectify the work themselves. It's urgent, you have a leaking workshop. Time limit it.
If that yields nowt, get it fixed, then small claims and trading standards if you fancy a fight. Take photos. Company will probably claim exceptional weather conditions, so find data for the date it happened.
It's likely a court would award in your favour, as the roofing ought to withstand adverse weather, but there are no certainties here. Company may still not pay if not local with a reputation etc.0 -
As above, I think it's £20 to make the claimI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0
