Worth appealing or just pay this Ticket?
Options
Hi
I recieved a parking ticket which I appealed in writing but was rejected. I can now pay the fine (£35 if in 14 days) or formerly challenge it.
I got the ticket outside a local football club on a match day. I was parked from 7pm on a single yellow line where the times are usually up until 6pm.
As it was a matchday however the restrict parking there. There are signs there to be fair (v small!) which I didnt see. This was the reply from my initial appeal and I wanted opinions as I felt they should do more on match days such as cone the road.. Thank you.
Thank you for writing to us.
We have carefully considered what you say but we have decided not to cancel your Penalty Charge Notice (PCN).
You were issued a PCN for parking on a single yellow line at a time when you were not allowed to park there. Single yellow lines mean no parking, except to load or unload. However, the Civil Enforcement Officer observed your vehicle and saw no loading or unloading taking place.
The rule applies during the times shown on the sign. Single yellow line restrictions are not only applicable between 8am and 6pm, and it is the driver’s responsibility to check the signs to see what the restriction is where they park. In this area, it is only restricted parking when there is a football match on, and the dates of the matches are also on the signs.

I've just started entering the competitions (July 07). When I win I'll update this signature. Look on the bright side, I shouldn't have to update it very often.
