Energy Ombusman Problems!!!!

I contacted the Energy Ombudsman about problem with Extra Energy after a contract renewal. I was impressed how fast they acted and had an agreement with EE to cancel my contract, refund my credit and much to my surprise £100 compensation.
I have a feeling that some of you will know what is coming next?
The £100 compensation never arrived by the target date and as advised by the Ombudsman I contacted them. Now I am having a similar problem as before with EE, being ignored.
Three calls, all promising someone will call back yet nobody did.
Two emails, not even an acknowledgement.
After a chat to a national newspaper I called again only to be told that the department that deals with such matters had yet to take any action against EE for failing to complete the agreement. Again I was told that someone would call back later today.
Is there an Ombudsman for complaints against the Ombudsman :rotfl::rotfl:

I wish there were!
You can complain to your MP, even try Ofgem but the Ombudsman seems fireproof - and useless.
I submitted a complaint to the Ombudsman. After several weeks I had heard nothing so made an enquiry; only to be told that they had no record of my complaint.
However I had received a formal letter acknowledging my complaint. Further correspondence ensued over a period of months, with no admission that there was any culpability for the delay on the Ombudsman's part. I also asked about how to complain against the Ombudsman - no reply.
In the end you will get the £100 and go down in their statistics as a satisfied customer.0 -
Well I ended up doing it all for myself!!!
Lots of patience I hung on till I got through to the correct department and person and lo and behold success....
I received an apology from Extra Energy and a promise that I would receive my £100 in 3 - 5 days and they were true to their word. I later received an email from the Ombudsman informing me that they had also been in touch with Extra Energy and that I would receive the £100 in a few days. Why did it take 8 weeks for them to make contact with Extra Energy?
This was the first contact I had received from the Ombudsman for 8 weeks. I sent them a reply to say as much and funny I did not get a reply.....
I did get a reply to my complaint, they offered an apology and £35 compensation for the bad service. Yet when an energy company does the same they judge that the compensation is £100.
You could not make it up.0
