Well, they are all still faffing around. Conveyancer seems pretty ambivalent about whether the exchange will go through today and initially told me that "it doesn't matter" that the funds were requested for the wrong day. This doesn't seem to be the case at all.

Mortgage provider has now found yet another piece of documentation which wasn't sent through properly due to a missing reference number (from 3 months ago!) so the whole thing has had to go back to the underwriter for re-approval.

Between the mortgage lender and the conveyancer, this is a case of the blind leading the blind....

This time you said exchange. Are you waiting to exchange contracts, or have you done that already and are awaiting completion?

    I'm confused.

Sorry - lack of sleep! We exchanged on 9th March and are due to complete today.

Barclays have now said they'll release the funds at 12:30. Just hoping this is enough time for it to make it up the chain. Just us, our vendor, and their vendor. FIngers crossed.

Good news, I'm sure you'll be fine :)

It's very stressful house buying, but the finish line is now in sight! Enjoy your new home.

Should be fine because what will probably happen is your conveyancer will send them direct to your buyers vendor's solicitor in effect piggy backing the chain. Common practice that normally happens in long chains.

Well, still no sign of the money.

My conveyancer is still saying she did the right thing requesting release of funds on Easter Monday as she says it's not possible to request a few days in advance - I don't believe her.

She's requesting occupation under licence from the other side as she says this is now the only option for completion today.

What a disaster. She won't even apologise and keeps saying this is just what happens sometimes.

Sorry you are going through this.

Try and relax if you can.., its out of your hands. There's only a point in getting stressed (says the most stressy person out there) if it will change things.

    Please take some deep breaths.

I hope you are getting lots of help with the moving part.., it will happen.
