Ovo Smart Meter/Gateway/Usage

I have got the old Pipet 500 linked to my meters with Ovo.

When Smart Gateway was mentioned on here a few months ago a few people were saying it was very good but it didn't work properly!

I have just looked at the usage figures on my online account and they have certainly improved the data reporting even down to yesterdays use by the hour! I hardly need the Pipet now.

Not a lot of use if you wish to change to an alternative supplier!

........ we use Secure Smart meters. The only other suppliers currently using Secure Smart meters are First Utility, Utilita and E.ON. So if you switch to one of these suppliers they may be able to communicate with your meter however this does depend on the setup of the meters at that moment in time.
