United utilities
Options
Hi all,
hope someone can help!
Many years ago I lived as a tenant in a united utilities served property.
I then moved in as a lodger with a family in the same area, unfortunately united utilities didn't understand and changed mine and my landladys account!
I then moved into a number of shared houses so wasn't responsible for paying the bill. Now I'm back in my own property, still within uu area. I have told uu and begun paying my dues for water and wastewater at my new address, however my online account is still registered to the botched account at the old landladys address.
I've also discovered this account is in credit somehow! My two questions are:
1. Is there an email address I can use to contact them to get my active account aligned with my email address and therefore my old account? (I have tried registering my new account but because I still use the same email address, the poor system gets confused)
2. Can my old credit be applied to my new account?
I know I can phone them, but I don't really want to. It's not convenient for me to sit on hold and explain this over and over every time I'm transferred to a different department!
Muchos gracias
