Molehill soil - is it useful to the gardener?

Well, the little dears are active again!
Heaps of what looks like good fine soil, all ready to be scooped into a dustpan - is it good stuff?
Would it contain weed seeds? If it is from deep down could it contain seeds of interesting plants from years ago in an old garden?

To get rid of moles, I have a Sonic Mole Repeller, from CPC some years ago. It looks like a large plastic pencil containing 4 batteries. It sticks into the molehill and emits a buzz. They decamp sharpish, to somewhere away from the veg plot.
They are only a pest early in the season when they are active just under the surface. Later they are much deeper down in the soil. Fascinating creatures.
