3 Credit Searches 1 Mortgage!

We have just sent or our credit reports and I noticed that there are two credit searches on my husband's for our mortgage. it appears that when Nationwide took over the day to day running of Derbyshire they did a credit search on us. I already had the Derbyshire mortgage for over 6 years! And I have been told that I am NOT a Nationwide Customer I am still a "Mortgage Works" (Derbyshires new name!) customer as they only administer that company.
It looks bad to anyone viewing our credit file looks like we keep chopping & changing our mortgage when in fact we only have the one mortgage it's not us who keeps hanging our name!!:mad: Can I ask them to remove it?
