ipad won't update

Can some one advise please,
My ipad mini won't update, I have a message saying I have a new update but when I come to download it I get this message:

UNABLE TO VERIFY UPDATE
ios 9.3 failed verification because you are no longer connected to the internet.

It goes without saying that I am connected to the internet.
All previous updates have never given me any problems.
Thanks for any advice.
PS keep it simple please.
I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.

    Yes I am having the same. If you google the problem it looks as if there are major bugs with 9.3 and apple have possibly stopped the update.

    The IOS 9.3 update has been pulled for older devices such as the iPad mini etc. The update required that the original Apple ID and Password needed to be entered to activate, but as these devices had often been passed/sold on, the current user had no knowledge of the original details.

    Although this might not be connected I had the same with an iPhone 5c. The 9.3 partial download/install seemed to have caused the phone to do weird things including getting the 'no longer connected to the internet' message when trying to install - even on wifi.

    I connected it to a lap top with iTunes and it sorted it out for me - It connected to the phone, seemed to check the OS version on it and I think it downloaded and put version 9.2.1 on it - iPhone restarted and all back to normal - took 20 mins. I don;t know if it actually re-installed 9.2.1 but it certainly sorted out the problems with the latest 'update'

    If you have itunes on a computer then it might be worth a try connecting the iPad just to see what it says.
