Loan from the 90s, no idea of info - should I use a claim firm?

Hi all,
Thank you for any advice you can give. When i was at uni in the late 90s, I know i had a loan. I remember a fairly regular taking out a new loan to clear it and using the ppi refund to live off for a bit (i know, i know...). I'm fairly sure it was missold ppi but the problem is I can't remember anything about the loan other than it was with Lloyds.
Is this a scenario where I really should use a claim handler?

No.
If you can't remember, they won't have a clue. They only provide a stamp and post your complaint off.0 -
If you already had a PPI refund, there won't be anything to refund now anyway!0

I didn't from the last one though

So is there any way to find this stuff out, does anyone know?0 -
Your only hope is to ask Lloyds or send an SAR to Lloyds to see if they have any records left from that time, might be a waste of £10 though0
