Bredbury or Edgeley?

Which is the better out of these two areas? I literally have narrowed it down to to these two, due to easy access to the train, and also it being all I can afford. So please don't suggest places that are expensive instead! (Im moving from Trafford). I need to get to M/C city centre with ease in the mornings, and I'm generally skint. So...are these as bad as i've heard? I thought Bredbury was nice but some people have told me otherwise?

Can anyone help?

Merci

Easily Edgeley. Better upcoming area and more convenient.

Stockport Train station straight into Piccadilly is a lot easier and more reliable way of getting into City Centre. If not the train, there are number of regular buses going into the City Centre from Stockport.

By the way, you are just relying on Northern Rail from Bredbury and they dont have the greatest rep.

I wont mention more expensive areas. It's all relative as to how good /bad they are.

I don't know Bredbury, but haven't heard much about it which is positive. Edgeley has some nice streets and there are some spacious houses for sale there - mainly Victorian. Downside is the proximity to the football stadium - there is a residents' parking scheme in place, but there can be quite a bit of light pollution from the floodlights. The reservoir and park attract families and dog walkers. It's also within walking distance of Stockport town centre which is undergoing some regeneration. Close to the M60, M56 and M6 as well as the train and bus stations.
