Another month almost over and i have met my make £10 a day target.I also kept to my £203 for the month food budget .I also met my monthly savings target. Now for the not so good news the months mortgage overpayments were very ,very low but im not going to worry about that too much at the minute i shall try harder next month.

Try Harder, you are doing amazingly well. I honestly don't think you could make your income stretch any further ! You do so well with making £10 a day and keeping your grocery shopping low.
I hope you don't mind me asking but are your savings earning more than your 3.88% mortgage interest rate ? I just wondered why you were going down the mortgage neutral route as opposed to focusing on paying the mortgage off.
The other thing I was wondering was do you have a plan B ? What I mean by that is, if for some reason you can't reach your target and pay the mortgage off what will you do ? Would you be able to downsize ? ( that would be my plan B ). I keep going round a number of scenarios in my head - plan A pay the mortgage off, plan B downsize to pay the mortgage off, plan C pay the mortgage off and down size and take off on a world cruise !!!

I hope you have a nice weekend planned - enjoy

Morning Busy Mee1 ,hopefully you will have seen my long post number 198 that i wrote to you .I dont have any plan B as such but downsizing is definitely an option ,we could buy a lovely 2 bedroom flat for around £120000 or a not so nice 1 bedroom apartment for £60000 if pushed but our house is valued at around £250000 now so we have around £85000 of equity at the minute and £10000 of savings so we are getting there slowly
