:oThank you LaineyT, I have taken some Beechams normally prefer to avoid taking things and wait it out but quite fancy enjoying today as a flopping bank holiday. I mean day to flop, not a misspelt swear. Family still slumbering nicely, de rigeur on a Sunday. I am on cup of tea #3 but don't want to make toast since there are hot cross buns for breakfast when people rise from their pits.
Nice quiet reading time now!
P's you know you have spent too long on the Internet when you try to enlarge the print on your book with thumb and forefinger.:oI was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
Morning, ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one. The sun is shining but it's still quite windy.
The freezer made it home yesterday. My ex picked it up yesterday and he and my eldest daughter brought it over. I have cleared and sterilised it, will switch it on a bit later, will move stuff from the kitchen freezer into it until I can get to the shops.
Has any one ever frozen yogurt? OH has a yogurt each lunch time. We have decided that as Aldi have now opened n Bingham, and it's closer to us than Melton, we will shop there. There are certain things I get from Morrison, of which yogurt is one. I was wondering if I get a months supply, could I freeze some of it?
Melton need to take a lesson from Bingham, the parking there is free.
No real plans for the day, I need to get my bum out of bed and dress myself. Will prep supper. Might do some more sewing, I'll see.0 -
Morning all,
I'm still in bed. At least I'm on my own here as hubby is creating mayhem elsewhere.
Talking about hubby. He's had a bit of a rant on Facebook. I am hoping my daughter in SA doesn't see it.
The house is a tip. Stuff dumped everywhere. I think I'll stay in bed.
Onwards and forwards

Morning all,
Sun is shining and blowy here atm but the sky is very black over yonder, have got a towel load on the line atm and another to go out, I am ready to dash out and get in in when the rain comes.
Had a lovely walk with Evie yesterday we are going further and further each time she is up to about five miles now, she is starving when she gets in and is eating everything you put in front of her atm, will have another walk later on.
Going to have a real lazy day today, just need to tidy kitchen and sweep through and walk the dog, everything else can wait, will spend the afternoon watching a film, eating easter eggs and snoozing !
Dinner is going to be some kind of chicken and chorizo noodle thing will make it up a bit but I have all the ingredients in and I really cant be bothered to do a full roast.
Have a good Easter Sunday xx0 -
Just remembered I forgot to wish Mrs LW a happy and safe holiday in Sweden. She is probably well on her way now but my thoughts are winging their way up to her!!
I had a brief holiday in Sweden almost 40 years ago and that's my one and only visit sadly. I don't remember a lot about it now, other than a scenic drive we had in the countryside (It was January and there was a lot of snow!), followed by a traditional meal in an enormous restaurant and a visit to Gothenburg. xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. Hi chums ,well one minute its pouring down and now the sun has come out so don't know what to make of the weather at the moment Dd texted me to say she has entered us both for the Race for Life again in July in Maidstone.:) we are going as the grey foxy ladies
:):) well I am definitely grey and she's got to be the foxy one
:) No she is an estate agent and her company (Grey Fox)says they will help with some sponsorship. I think we will be wearing (apart from the bright pink tee shirts ) perhaps a foxes tail(made from paper not a real one
)and whiskers and pointy ears. The things I do for my daft youngest DD
:):) We had a fantasic time last year and fingers crossed the weather will be kind again. So I will be getting out my trainers and starting my morning mile every day. Its a cause that close to our hearts and I am happy to do it really ,although mine is not so much a race as more of a hobble at times Last year I ended up doing the last kilometer in my socks as my feet were getting a bit blistered, but we did enjoy it none the less and my grandsons came along to gee us up.
I hope everyone is having a good weekend what ever you are doing
Cheers chums

I wish the weather would make up it's mind! We've had brilliant sunshine one minute, and larraping down with rain the next! I just hope it's sunshine for Jack's walk at 15:00.
Thankfully we remembered to put the clocks forward - though the "lost" hour is rapidly caching up with me.
We shall be having good old veggie toad-in-the-hole for dins, followed by gooseberry crumble.
I need to create a bit of freezer space, as I've been informed that my next guest, who arrives the day Jack leaves (April 8th) will be bringing food with him that needs to be stored in the freezer. At least I've had a heads-up this time - usually the first I know is when we unpack the bag when the dog gets here, and I have to play an emergency game of Freezer Tetris. :rotfl:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Good afternoon and Happy Easter to everyone,
One minute we have lovely sunshine and blue skies, the next its pouring with rain, so me and DH are staying put:D
DD and DS have both gone to work, although DD will be finished soon but won't see DS until tomorrow.
Just taking it easy today, although I have done the ironing, but no washing until tomorrow. I just have to mop the kitchen floor in a minute but that's my lot for today.
I am cooking a roast chicken with roast potatoes and veggies for our dinner later, I can't remember the last time we had a roast chicken! I also made a simnel cake yesterday, just need to finish the top off with marzipan, and that can be our pudding.
I hope Mrs LW has a nice trip to Sweden and AOD you feel better soon.
I hope everyone has a lovely day with lots of chocolate.

Hi all Quick pop in from me . The weather here has been foul all day . The garden is very waterlogged and the wind is howling . We have yet another weather warning for tomorrow .
NMLC Thanks for starting todays thread . Hope the decorating went well Some matt paints are pretty tough so it should be ok .
AOD I hope you feel a bit better now .
CAMELOT I have found that speaking your mind firmly and calmly is a good thing . Life is to short to put up with negative or toxic people .
JUDI I hope you are ok and the girls haven't seen the posts .
I confess I have not been at all old style today - too much chocolate and cake . I do have deep envy of the baileys truffles .
The internet has been dropping out all day and this is the third time I've had to retype a post so I'll love you and leave you .
Jackie Well done you , find your secret and bottle it please !
pollyIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.
There but for fortune go you and I.0
