Why do some banks put salaries in on Good Friday, and I have to wait until Tuesday? Is my bank just holding onto my salary? I would like to find out why and which banks pay earlier

    What is the problem?

You know that you get paid on the 3rd last banking day each month, and you did.

"Oh, but some people got theirs earlier, boo hoo."

So what? It doesn't put you at a disadvantage. If your colleagues' banks had not credited their accounts earlier, would you be any happier?

Switch banks if you're that unhappy about it.

Swings and roundabouts. You'll have 4 less days your money will have to last in April.

    Exactly.

Perhaps pepper33's colleagues will come on here to moan that their money has run out before April payday?

You should put in a claim for discrimination and compensation - I'm sure you would get a huge payout for all the stress you have suffered...

This sometimes happens in my work to people with BOI accounts since the business account is with BOI. The bigger problem is if you're running through your salary so quickly that you need the money three days before it's due to be paid.

You weren't paid late you were paid on time. You just don't have a bank account that allows early access to funds at holiday times. I use to bank with Ulster Bank and if you were due paid on a Monday the money was always in the account on the Saturday. For the first time in my 27yrs with my employer they decided to pay us early at Easter so got paid 24th did it make any difference not at all and I work for a former NICS Dept.
