Salary from NICS paid later than others

Why do some banks put salaries in on Good Friday,and I have to wait until Tuesday? Is my bank just holding onto my salary? I would like to find out why and which banks pay earlier

NICs salaries aren't due to be paid until Tuesday. I bank with Santander and it will only appear in my account Tuesday morning. I've heard others say ulster bank usually shows theirs the previous evening.

Yes but surely this is unfair to the majority of NICS��

I don't understand how it's unfair. Salary is paid 3rd banking day before the end of the month as usual. Tuesday is a banking day as officially Good Friday and Monday are the holidays but NICS always take the Monday and Tuesday.

why is the days of modern IT does the banking system close down for a holiday .I was due a payment on St Patricks day it arrrived a day late .
I was due another payment on Friday ,that still hasnt arived .

Both these payments where set up as standing orders to be paid once a week .

I am not NICS but Council paid. My wages are shown on my account but dated 29th March. I am not sure if I can dip in to them or not!

It's got very little to do with NICS. This comes down to when banks close their business day and complete batch transactions.

If you're not happy, you'll have to switch banks.
