MP4 to DivX?

Does anyone know of a free converter (an online one would be ideal), to give me DivX files from MP4, or, better yet, direct from Youtube?

Welcome to Clip Converter - YouTube to MP3, MP4 Downloader and Converter!

    http://www.clipconverter.cc/

Clip Converter is a free online media conversion application, which allows you to record, convert and download nearly any audio or video URL to common formats. Currently supported services: YouTube (720p, 1080p, 4K), Vimeo and many more. This free and fast converter allows you to watch your favorite YouTube videos offline on your PC, TV or nearly any other device.

How to convert and download a YouTube video:
    1. Paste your YouTube URL at 'Video URL' and press Continue.
    2. Select the format (MP3, MP4, M4A) and the options for the conversion. The default options are for most videos a good setting.
    3. Press the 'Start' button at the bottom to start the conversion.
    4. This may take several minutes. After the conversion is finished you can download the converted file.
  • I tried clip converter, but can't see an option for DivX.

I tried downloading in MP4 and MOV, but neither work on my DivX device.

I'm currently downloading in AVI, and will try that.

FFmpeg seems to be able to covert almost any format you give it. Might be worth a look:

Looks like DivX themselves have a free convertor......

I've not used it as I am usually wanting to do it the other way round i.e. DivX to MP4.

This Movie Converter www.coolutils.com/TotalMovieConverter converts videos from YouTube. It's not actually free. But you can get its 30-day free version. It has a good balance between file size and output video quality.
