Received NTK to wrong postal address

Hi Guys,
I have received a NTK from parking eye. I have read through the newbie threads and I believe my best course of action is to ignore the NTK. Now before you think this is a bad idea hear me out:
The postal address of the keeper is incorrect on the letter. This means that it was sent to my neighbour instead of me. They have then kindly past it on to me. As yet I have had made no effort to correspond to parking eye. I beleive they have not fulfilled there obligation under 9.4 of POFA 2012 to inform the keeper by delivering to there current address.
What do you guys think is the best course of action?
Many thanks
Nathan

what a pity it was accepted and opened within 14 days , is it actually addressed to the other house , or has the postman delivered it incorrectly?
have you checked your details on your V5? (not licence)Save a Rachael

It was addressed to the incorrect address. My Neighbour knows me by name so I presume they have forwarded it to me. I will have a hunt around for my v5. Fingers crossed I haven't given them the wrong adress0

You should not ignore ParkingEye and this is not a reason to do so.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi coupon-mad. Why should this NTK be ignored when they have no proof that I have received it in the first place as it is there mistake?0

Because they will continue with their machine of taking the matter to court and your neighbour will not be too chuffed at having court papers arrive, let alone a CCJ later this year (albeit in your name, but attached to his address) if you ignore that stage too.
PE are to be met head on and fought in any situation, IMHO. Not to be ignored (unless people are in Scotland where it is different).
That is not to say that the mistake on the address can't be used to your advantage at POPLA stage (unless your V5 DVLA address is at fault).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

A CCJ is served on a person NOT a property
however the new figure of £225 for a set aside is worrying

I realise that. But the neighbour is never going to be happy about a CCJ which could show up under certain searches. And the OP should not be happy to let it go that way in his name either.pappa_golf wrote: »A CCJ is served on a person NOT a property
Also PE do trace people who ignore them, they check addresses and re-issue letters - so better to appeal now.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure how to go about it then. Do I just reply and tell them I do not believe there NTK to be in line with Pofa 2012 and as such I have no keeper liability? Thanks for the help0

But can still cause problems for the occupant of a property as I found out when I moved here. The house had been repossessed and I attracted extra attention whenever I tried to apply for new accounts of various sorts for a while afterwards.
Not to mention various county court letters etc that I had to keep sending back to sender.0
