Please help!

I'd appreciate any help I can get. Feel like I'm banging my head against a brick wall.

My partner got into a bit of trouble when he was younger with store cards. Nothing serious, basically two with Topman that he owed approx £100 each on. These were both sold to Arrow Global and they are reporting them on his credit report. However, we are convinced that the dates of defaults are incorrect.

One is being reported as defaulting in July 2012, however the original default notice was sent in August 2008. The strange thing is a CCJ was registered for this debt in September 2012, which seems a ridiculously quick time if the default was only in July that year!

The second one was said to have defaulted in August 2011 and again a CCJ was granted in November 2011!

I have disputed the default dates with Arrow several time, showing them different bits of information, but each time they say it's correct based on the information Santander gave them.

He sent an SAR to Santander in December. We got a very basic response back, simply with a list of transactions and the original signed agreement. I wrote back stating there was a lot of information missing but had no response. I then chased it up using the CEO email address and after 1 month finally received a letter stating that they do not retain true copies of default notices or assignment notices.

We don't know where to go now! We've been trying to get this sorted for almost a year now, but seem to be hitting a brick wall wherever we go. We're convinced the default dates are incorrect but can't get any information to prove it.

Please can anyone help???

Given that CCJ's have been issued. The default dates are now totally irrelevant. Were the CCJ's settled promptly?
  • No, he claims he never saw the court forms and the first he knew about them was when he saw them on his credit report.
