Sorry to OP for hijacking this thread, I hope you don't mind!
I've seen that planning jungle loopholes document before .... I had it in my head it was possible but then had second thoughts. Most of the examples on planning portal show only semi detached houses.
Interestingly, the previous owners got PP for a few alterations and the officer stated in the documentation they would allow the minor increase in floor area as after all it's far less obtrusive than a whole new rear wing built under permitted development! Which was what gave me the idea! But hoped to do it side rather than rear. Hence I believe PD applies regardless of greenbelt status.0 -
