Decision tree form

OK, post 2 in the tech section for today.

Is it possible to create a form in Google forms or in a spreadsheet(Excel) that will provide an answer at the end depending on the answers given whilst filling in the form.

This is essentially a decision tree, The answer to the question asked depends upon the next question asked and eventually provides a conclusion to the answers given throughout the form.

If there is an alternative way to create this that is a)easier and b) free I would be verygratefulto hear about it.

Many thanks in advance.

Thanks but I don't think I explained myself very well. What I want is an interactive form where you answer each question and it then brings up the next question based on the answer, then at the endit gives you the final outcome based on the answers you have given.

Reason being is that there is a particularly complicated decision tree/decision chart that people are having trouble following. This has caused a few customer complaints.

If the business was to take away the navigation part of the chart and could get to the end result just by asking questions on aninteractive form then the business is sure it could significantly reduce errors or cut them out completely

You need an expert system tool.

If it's a simple set of questions you could use the Go To Page option in Google forms to jump to the appropriate question based on the respone.

Or you could use powerpoint and add actions to buttons to jump to the appropriate slide.

If you want something more sophisticated the premium version of Surveymonkey can do pretty complex question routing

for something simple with a predetermined output, you could use a web page.
Each page displays a number of choices, and each choice liks to another page of choices - all hyperlinks, but may have boxes around them
