Petrol or Diesel
I am looking at getting a new car, not going to say what it is because as you all know, 70% of all the replies will be "omg thats not moneysaving!!" which I know and don't need reminding of
But anyway, the car I want is £4k for a petrol model, or £6.5k for the equivillant diesel, so what should I do? Diesel gets better fuel consumption but will it save £2.5k over most likely 2 years. But then diesels hold their value better so I just have no idea what I should do, save money and go for the petrol? Or spend more to spend less?

It depends on how many miles you do and, if the cars were registered after 2001, how much CO2 they emit. Generally you need to do above average mileage to make a diesel car worth the extra.0
