Hidden PPI on Mortgage

Hi

As a general rule whenever I receive a call about PPI I politely end the call as I am/was pretty sure that I have never taken out PPI on a loan.

However the lady that has just called me has said that mortgage providers (which is really the only finance that I've had in recent years) were often hiding PPI within their interest rate rather than declaring it and therefore as a customer you never actually saw that you had this. The lady also said this particularly applied on repayment mortgages pre 2006 which is when my current mortgage was taken out (and I am still with the same provider although soon will change as moving house).

Does the above ring true about hidden PPI and if so please suggest a route forward.

Thanks
Robson

Complete and utter rubbish. Not possible.

Mortgage repayment method had no impact on MPPI whatsoever and there were no changes in 2006 as to how MPPI was set up.

Remember that most cold calls are scammers or dodgy.

Thanks everyone, didn't sound likely but thought I'd canvass opinion just in case the whole PPI issue was even murkier than its painted as.
