I once had a neighbour who would not leave a light without a bulb in it as they thought the electricity would leak out! :rotfl:

My mum thought that but, when I think about it, she grew up in the days when they had gas lamps and the gas could leak out.

I had a neighbour who blamed a failed ring on her cooker on the poor electricity she was being supplied with.:rotfl:
  • What about a remote control socket?

You could leave the extension plugged in and uncoiled, but then switch it on and off by remote control - although this might not work with the reset button.
