What to do with exposed cupboard

Hi,
We had a hollow wall (plasterboard) which I knocked through to reveal a 'hidden' cupboard. Newspaper, lining the floor, was dated 7th September 1954.
I've never done any DIY and expect to get a tradesman in to clean up the mess. Challenge is, I've no idea what I'm asking for.

Would a builder sort this out? Or a carpenter? There are some pipes bottom-right and a presumably live electric cable linked to a socket (that was in the wall I knocked down). So would I also require an electrician? Or will a handyman do it all? Or something else?
Also, I would like shelves in there. I suspect that over the years I would want to change the number of shelves and their depth. Is there such a thing as a non-fixed shelving system?
And any idea of cost?
Sorry for all the Qs.
Thanks
Lester

I would get a carpenter in to make good the cupboard with a shelf at the bottom (level with the top of the skirting would box in any pipes or wires), architrave and some wooden lining with recessed shelf brackets that have multiple slots or different shelf arrangements.
Do you have another cupboard on the same wall by the other corner?0 -
It's not a big job board it out skim over and some shelves. You also need to relocate the socket. You could get a plasterer, chippy and electrician but a competent person could handle the work. Do you know a good handyman?0

You would need a plasterer to make good the wall first though.0
