Mealplans WB 4th September 2007

Have looked but not seen one for this week and I need to get my head organised! I will just do today too Sunday.

Tuesday-Toad In Hole, Mash & Roasted Veg (peppers, carrots, onion, swede)
Wednesday-Gammon, Mini Roasties, Yorkies, Carrots & Peas
Thursday-Shepherds Pie, Carrots & Cabbage
Friday-Scampi, Chips & Salad
Saturday-HM Fishpie, Peas & Carrots
Sunday-Lamb, Roasties, Yorkies, Roasted Veg (whatevers left!) & Minted Gravy

Made a large pan of chicken and veg soup yesterday with a tiny FR chicken I bought reduced after using the main meat for a roast on sunday. There is about 10 large portions there and used 1 onion, 1 leek, 1 courgette, 2 spuds, chicken stock and added the rest of the meat and blended...delish!!

I freeze things with onions in too - I even chop and freeze raw onion ready for cooking ;)

    My meal plan is:-

Tue : Red Flannel Hash (my favourite way to eat beetroot)
Wed: Smoke pork sausage with potato salad
    Thur: Omelette
    Fri : Chilli Wraps
    Sat: Shepherds Pie
    Sun: Pasta
    Mon: Toady hole

All with lots of veg to fill up so we don't crave puddings ;)

Lunches are salads, left overs, HM chicken soup from freezer or jacket potatoes with tuna and pesto :D

    A bit like this ;)

But I use tinned potatoes if I'm in a hurry - and we decided it'd be best with beans as it can be a little dry on its own depending on the beetroot. Oh and flipping it over didn't work for me, so I grill the top instead :D
