So fed up of Barclaycard

in Credit cards
I had a rate of 6.9% for the next two years but apparently I defaulted twice - I think interest charges took my balance about £10 over my limit on two occasions. Their statements are a bit confusing so I have only just realised that since Feb I have been charged £15.9% plus default charges.
I owe £3100 on this card. I had closed the account as I am trying to pay it off but now the interest has jumped up I am going to see a debt advisor because it is so hard to keep on top of things. It feels like the final straw and I might just go onto a DMP. I emailed Barclaycard on Fri and they said they would respond within 3 working days about the interest rate - but no response which is so annoying.
In the past they have been fairly lenient but to slap on an extra 9% without even making it clear is so annoying. I am paying £50pm in interest charges alone and between all my cards I can only make min payments on some of them at the mo.

In the circumstances described - Two defaults and exceeded credit limit on Barclaycard and only making minimum payments on other cards. I doubt any credit providers will risk lending further money at 0%0 -
Fab they have now reinstated the 6.9%!!:j0

Well done and the feedback will be useful to others.
Don't want to sound superior, but you really must make sure you understand the statements so that you don't get caught like this again. And of course, you must stay within the limit and anticipate stuff like interest charges. I find the Barclaycard statements clear enough, though I suppose I dislike the way they keep messing around with their website.
Good luck knocking the debts back.0 -

Well it goes without saying and that is precisely what is doing my head in, having so many statements to keep on top of. As mentioned this has only happened once despite several years trying to fight these debts and denying myself much of a life at all.0
