As you said, Greenwoods are a doorstep lender. How did your mum pretend to be you?
Could be something as simple as: "my daughter's not in just now, but left me this to give to you".

It will restore your honour, make you feel proud, protect your house, give you a job, clean up the neighbourhood, remind you of how great you once were, clear out the venal and the corrupt, remove anything you feel is unlike you... • Looks like they were just reporting the account as being in arrears as the little red dot shows a number 6 inside it.

However the balance is now showing 0 and status is settled.

So that means 6years since the settled update this will drop off? And many have said it may not be having significant impact on my score now as its 3years old? I hope that's true.

And in regards to how did she get it, I have no idea - her and the greenwoods agent were friends so just told him that I wanted it but was at work that she would do it and sign my name.

    Thanks,

    Jack

Yes, if not defaulted (S or 8) the whole account and history drop off 6 years from the settlement date.

    Scores are irrelevant.

In general lenders care much much more about recent history than they do about older things done and dusted. Anecdotally, observationally, and from people in DRAs/lenders, it is usually concluded that things over 3 years old have a much less impact.

Each lender will have it's own criteria though. Some with the tightest criteria will tolerate a nothing less that almost perfect history. Other will take a much more pragmatic approach, and will be forgiving of much if it is not very recent.

  • Fantastic - thanks for all of the advice and answers guys.

It's definitely put my mind at ease that it won't be having as big an impact as I initially thought.

You have two choices, wait for it to become statute barred or report the identity fraud.

The op paid the debt off in 2013, so nothing left to become stat barred.
