4.9.07 what small dfw thing will you do or have you done today?

Good Morning fellow DFW Peeps and welcome old timers and newbies alike :hello:

Welcome to Tuesday !!!!!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

So, today I will:
  • do piggy comps, clicks and surveys
  • send everyone off with packed lunches
  • get petrol using petrolprices.com to find cheapest
  • check online banking and update spreadsheet
  • not increase my debt in any way
  • be positive!
Have a good day everyone xx

Morning All :hello: Hope your day improves GGirl, it is a tough lesson which many of us have painfully learned. :o As my mum would (smugly) say "don't lend what you can't afford to give" But I hope your "friend" gets an attack of conscience AND comes into enough money to give you back what's yours + a bonus.

    Anyway today:
    -I've done my clicks
-I wandered round Quidco late last night and earned some more (eg paid in £5 to the National Lottery, withdrew £5.50 and earned £4 cashback :D )
    -Mystery Shop today
    -Free eye test
-long drive to the West Country in hubbys company car, with company petrol (he's away still)
    - will research a cheap place for supper.....otherwise a NSD (picnic?:o )

I returned 4 CD's i bought from HMV. (will quidco take the £2 cashback off my account if i get a refund?). i really didn't need the CD's and have just jacked in my part time job in a fit of pique with the boss. So need all the money i can get.

Done my piggy clicks, which were pants! (Although i did get 80 points for a Dorothy Perkins order which i returned last week. Had a wedding but just wore something from wardrobe instead. Will pigsback/DP's take the points back?)

I paid some bills and filled in my online spending diary.
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....
    (it's part of my charm!)
  • I walked to the market to get some fruit and veg to save money on petrol and do some more exercise. I also received a free sample of 10 dishwasher tablets so that will mean I won´t have to buy a new box so soon.
I have checked my bank account online, which was depressing, but I feel better knowing that I know exactly where I stand now, which in turn makes me even more determined not to spend any money on anything that is not absolutely essential.
