Kalixa morphed in to KiTTi some time ago.

Kalixa was a pre-paid travel card. KiTTi was a bizarre creation aimed at groups of people who wanted to jointly pool their money and save for something.

Two totally different markets. I'm not sure there was a market for KiTTi anyway.

Presumably Kalixa want to put their pre-paid card business behind them and the monthly maintenance fee is intended to deplete accounts as quickly as possible.

If closure of Kalixa is new news to you I guess you haven't used the service for a long time.

If you have/had a balance on your card you should contact them and see what you can get back: http://media.kalixa.com/kalixapay.html.
  • Sorry I should have been clearer. I transferred all my money from the card when I was notified about the closure. I'm just curious to know if they can still take money from my account, if this is a genuine email. I've contacted them directly from the website so we'll see what they say.
