Misbehaving Touchscreen

I have a Medion All in one pc about 4 years old, the touch screen misbehaves from time to time with cursor hovering at lower right of the screen
I go to settings (now windows 10) and delete the touchscreen driver (G24 236 SP12014 Touch Panel) and am happy using without touchscreen however it keeps coming back, reinstalling itself. I would like to delete permanently and happy to have non touch pc.
How can I get rid of it forever? is there likely to be something in the other drivers that keeps trying to re install it?
Many thanks in advance for any opinions
Tom

Just removing the driver wont help.

as windows will search for any missing drivers and try to install them.

instead you need to disable the actual hardware. If you go into device manager and view all the hardware, one should be for the touch screen, and just disable it
