i have about 1000 pound i want to put into a savings account and hope to add to this slowly over time which is best to use a child saving account or open an account in the name of my partner ???
all views, comments and opinions are mine and i have the right to be wrong

If your partner is not a taxpayer, I think it is easier to open account in your partner's name. He/she must fill-in some form in the bank to avoid paying tax on interest.
P.S. All this is perfectly legal for spouses. I am not 100% sure about partners, but for such small amounts I think you can do this. For children account you can have up to £100 p.a. free of tax.
