at the moment i am with HSBC and have been with them since 2000.
i have a 'gap year' curent acct, which is in the process of changing to a 'student' acct. it was a gap year acct, because when i applied for my student acct, i had not got confirmation of a place at uni, so they stuck me on a gap year!
i also have a mini cash ISA and an online saver
i also have a 'mastercard' credit card with a £250 limit
i have a salary of about £300-£400p/m, and my student loan will be paid into my account aswell.
basically, ive NEVER gone overdrawn and im very good with money. in the space of 9 months, i managed to save £2k, half of which i spent on car insurance last week ;(
HSBC offer the worst 'in credit' interest rate out of any of the big banks. im really thinking about changing banks, but some banks require me to pay my student loan into their acct.
so what should i do?
