Got a flyer postcard from Abbey saying as much, they will be sending details inviting me to re-join them as Santander will be launching their own CC.

BT £1k with no fee and receive a £50 cheque for doing so. Whee, bringing the fun back to CCs. ;)

No interest if you pay back the £1k when payment due, so an instant 5% reward/stooze/tart oportunity. ;)

No further info on flyer, but-

Dont think there is a fee for a BT but £50 is all you get even if you transfer more.
You get nothing if you transfer less than £1k.

So ideally transfer £1k then pay off by first payment due date, so long as not treated as cash for interest purposes.
I assume up to 56 days to sort depending on the statement date they decide on after arranging BT and issuing card.

  • Has anyone found the Abbey card T&C on their website? I couldn't find them when I looked.

No BT fee & an interest free period sounds like a clone of the cahoot card.

The offer for existing Abbey/MBNA card holders is:

6 months 0% BT (I got this wrong on the other thread, def 6 not 12 month)
    No BT fee
£50 cashback if you BT over £1000

No details on website, this is branch/phone only (as your existing MBNA card has to be manually verified)
