Good morning, the past few days have been very eventful.
First off last weekend I had a water leak under the sink, it was nothing major but I wasn't able to easily fix it. I shut off the water pump so no more water was leaking out and had a good look under the sink, I need a flexi pipe to replace a short piece of rubber pipe which keeps popping out of its join. Last night (Friday night) it did it again, so i need go to wickes today and see what I can pick up!
The second pitfall I had was an electrical fault. I was sitting on the boat in the evening reading my kindle, I only had my phone on charge and one light on. All of a sudden I lost all electricity, to cut a long story short there was power coming through the bateries but nothing would turn on, the fuse had not blown however there must have been a very poor connection through the fuse, I replaced it and so far everything is working fine (crosses fingers tightly)
I don't mind all these small mishaps happening as its a good chance for me to learn how to fix things and grasp a good understanding of how everything works on the boatDocumenting my journey from full time support worker to full time eBay reseller0 -
Evening all, I will be honest with you, I have kept up with every loan repayment since getting the loan however about 2 months after buying the boat I also ended up buying a VW T25 campervan with all my savings, I also had to borrow £1500 from my parents to help me tax and insure the van which I haven't yet paid back.
So on top of my loan repayments I am also slowly not repaying my Mother back the £1500 i owe her, luckily she is in no hurry for the month and has not given me a time frame to return it back to her in!

Just found your diary - I admire you and I certainly understand your purchases! I looked at buying a narrow boat when I was about 27 and had a mooring booked and everything. Sadly I ended up in a relationship and never did get my boat. The relationship was not worth missing that opportunity that's for sure. I still regret that! So I am so pleased there is someone somewhere living my dream! Also, my husband and I bought an old LDV Convoy (already) converted into a campervan in April whilst we were waiting to buy a house, like you an impulse purchase. Best thing we ever did!
